The strength of our NCHEA program comes from industry peers who generously share real‑world experiences—specific challenges faced, decisions made, and lessons learned.

Our NCHEA speakers are highly respected for the time they dedicate to educating others, and we sincerely appreciate their contributions.

We invite you to submit a proposal for consideration in our Call for Speakers for our 74th Annual NCHEA Conference and Exhibition.

Please read the information below before beginning your submission process by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.

Submission Information and Deadlines

  • All information must be received through the official Speaker Submission Form by 11:59 PM, April 3, 2026. No submissions outside of this form will be accepted/considered.
  • In addition to the form itself, any additional material request must be received by the deadlines specified for continued consideration.
  • Submissions will be evaluated based on educational value and relevance to our industry. Speakers are expected to deliver content-rich presentations that benefit the professional development of attendees.  Overtly promotional proposals will be declined.

Presentation Types and Topics

Attendees were surveyed following the Spring Seminar in Pinehurst and our excellent response rate yielded ideas and suggestions we are keeping in mind when evaluating submissions for the Annual Conference

Presentation Types

1. Real-World Outcomes Over Polished Success Stories

Multiple attendees independently noted that sessions built around lessons learned — what went wrong, what was hard, and what they’d do differently — are more memorable and impactful than presentations that only highlight successes.  Speakers who are willing to be candid, and to frame presentations around honest case studies and after-action scenarios rather than just showcasing wins are encouraged.

2. Contractor + Healthcare Engineer Co-Presentations

Attendees specifically called out the value of sessions where both a contractor and a healthcare engineer present together. This format resonates because it shows how the same project or challenge looks from two different seats at the table. We welcome these pairings as a presentation table if applicable.
